Tests for Children, Parents & Family

This category is aimed at parents and caregivers, as well as children and teenagers themselves. The PSC-17 and the Vanderbilt questionnaire are filled out by a parent about the child's behavior — meant as a starting point for a conversation with a pediatrician, not as a standalone diagnostic tool. SOMEDIS-A, by contrast, is meant for teenagers to fill out about their own social media use.

The Parental Stress Scale and the Family APGAR, on the other hand, are about your own experience: how you feel in your role as a parent, and how satisfied you are with core functions of your family — support, communication, and shared time. "Family" here always means whoever plays that role for you, not necessarily your family of origin.

If you're an adult wondering whether you might have ADHD or autistic traits yourself, you'll find the relevant self-tests in the ADHD & Autism category.
