The RAADS-R and CAT-Q are screening questionnaires that capture autistic traits and camouflaging in adults. Many autistic people are only identified as adults – often because they have adjusted their behaviour to fit in for years, at a cost. This workbook treats that as an adaptation, not a deficit: it helps you sort out your own patterns, shape your environment to fit you better and – if you want to – prepare well for a professional assessment. A companion to the RAADS-R and the CAT-Q.

What's inside

  • How to use the workbook – why identification often comes late and what masking costs

Scientific basis

A tool for self-reflection and for shaping everyday life, not diagnostics and not therapy. The RAADS-R and CAT-Q are screening questionnaires; an adult autism diagnosis is made by a specialist service (an autism clinic, psychiatry or psychotherapy with an autism focus). If ongoing exhaustion, anxiety or low mood are weighing on you, talk to your primary care doctor or a psychotherapist. In an acute crisis, contact your local emergency services or a crisis helpline in your country.
